The best tee shot is selected and\u00a0all three team members hit their second shots from that position.\u00a0The player of the ball that has been selected <strong>always\u00a0<\/strong>plays first. The other two <strong>place<\/strong> their ball within\u00a06 inches, no nearer the hole.\u00a0Play continues in this manner until a ball is holed.<\/p>\n<p>The score for the hole is the number of shots played by the team after\u00a0one of the balls is holed out.<br \/>\n<strong>NOTE<\/strong>: If a ball that has been played is played again, before the other\u00a0balls have been played, then this ball is now in play (i.e. do not tap\u00a0in putts before the other players have played).<\/p>\n<p>In a team of 3 each player will normally have to have 5 of their drives chosen by the team to play their second shots from within the round, a team of 4 will need 4 drives each.<\/p>\n<p>Normally a team of three will be allowed a handicap of one seventh of\u00a0the combined handicap of the team members (one tenth for teams of four),\u00a0and the format of the competition is medal.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The &#8216;Texas Scramble&#8217; or &#8216;Superball&#8217; is played in teams of three\u00a0for the &#8216;Loving cup&#8217;, or the &#8216;Rosebowl&#8217;.\u00a0Each member of a team drives.
