There was enough breeze to help on some holes and hinder on others which combined with fast greens to present a tough challenge to the society which was reflected in the scoring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The spot prizes were won by Mark Jones (nearest the pin) and Mark Bliss (longest drive)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The results for the main event were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3<sup>rd<\/sup>&nbsp;place &#8211; 33 points &#8211; Mark Jones<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2<sup>nd<\/sup>&nbsp;place &#8211; 34 points &#8211; Chris Swales<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1<sup>st<\/sup>&nbsp;place &#8211; 34 points &#8211; John Hartley<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to John for organising very enjoyable event and dry weather.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mid April at South Winchester and a few dry days finally saw a bit of bounce and run on the fairways.
