The start of the day was marred by the closure of the A36 into Salisbury so many players didn’t arrive until after their allotted start times but the club packaged up bacon rolls so that everyone was fed before they played and rearranged tee times to get everyone out on the course. An email was sent to the club thanking them for their flexibility. we had a great day and glorious weather.
That said everyone enjoyed the day and the weather was good. It’s a great course, testing yet fair and one that offers chances. It’s always in great condition on greens and fairways.
A massive thank you to Steve for his organisation for this event and especially running around arranging groups, tee times and buggies and ensuring we all got out. It’s never easy on the day for an organiser and we are blessed we have so many volunteers in this society who do a great job.
