Third event of the season, another gloriously sunny day without the overbearing wind of our previous events. The course was beautifully presented and whilst its maturity made it challenging at times, it was thoroughly enjoyable to play.
Many thanks to Chris Swales for organising; the tea, coffee and bacon rolls were a lovely way to begin I thought.
Well done everyone for a solid pace of play, no mean achievement given the heat and the countless (I assume) ‘behind-a-big-darn-tree-back-into-play’ shots that had to be played (technical term).
Event feedback was almost exclusively strong, reflected by Newbury & Crookham being pushed to the top of the Event Leaderboard. (On which note, Adrian has updated the website with leaderboards linked from the results page)
