Tidworth Garrison – The Bogey Cup

It’s always a pleasure to play Tidworth Garrison whether it be enhanced by your golf or otherwise.

The course, a sunny and warm afternoon combined to test the mettle of 14 hopeful players.

A bogey competition is always challenging where we are essentially playing a matchplay competition against the course, which unfortunately never seems to drop a shot. It is a bit counter intuitive with plus being good, zero/level is OK and minus not so good.

The scores where quite closely matched until a member of the last group, Adrian Crossley, came in with a stunning score that shattered any hopes the rest may have had. Very well played Adrian.

The honours for the day were rewarded thusly:

  1. Adrian Crossley – +6
  2. Steve Elliott – +2
  3. Neil Young – 0

Nearest the Pin was won by Phil Appleby

The longest drive (on the fairway) by John Hartley

Many thanks to Simon Nash for organising and ensuring the smooth running of the event.
