The course was in great condition, the wetter summer helped keep the fairways and greens receptive The rough was indeed rough, punishing many errant shots and the wind got up to give us ideal conditions to search for a winner worthy of this years Links Trophy amongst the 17 entrants.
Getting close to the 11th pin this year was as challenging as I can remember, Mark Jones found the green and took the Nearest the Pin prize.
The slope on the 18th fairway makes it a thinking golfers longest drive, the winner was Dave Cousins.
