Corhampton Hursley Cup – What an afternoon !

Our afternoon at Corhampton proved to be yet another, not only wet, but very windy affair. The horrible weather, however, was easily compensated for by the immaculate presentation of the course. Every part of the course was in pristine condition from tee to green and, despite the low slope rating, almost every green was cunningly protected either by bunkers, large trees or a drop offs around them.

The weather and difficulty of the greens contributed to the low scores, for most, but some of us managed to master the course better than others. The victors on the day where:

  1. Phile Blake. 36 points and winner of the Hursley Cup
  2. David Green   34 points
  3. Dave Cousins 31 points

The spot prize winners were the lucky recipients of the new Hursley Golf Society logo golf balls:

  • Richard Selby  – Nearest the Pin
  • Adrian Crossley – Longest Drive

Hopefully we will be back to visit Corhampton again next season.
